Administration Assistant / Secretarial Support

We are seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to assist with day-to-day administrative duties and secretarial support. The role based in Nelson reporting directly to the Manager.

The duties will include the following:

  • Provide administrative support including correspondence and email, diary management, dictation and minute taking
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, i.e., Health & Safety
  • Maintain Microsoft Access database of all contractual arrangements and identify upcoming renewals
  • Ensure compliance of all group entities
  • Maintain financial reporting spreadsheets for director and management
  • Maintain asset spreadsheets for FY reporting
  • Maintain website / liaise with operational manager re marketing activities
  • Create and maintain Social Media presence and Email Marketing
  • Support to operational manager and office manager as needed
  • Accounts receivable and payable (MYOB) when required
  • General office administration

The position requires a person with the following attributes:

  • Excellent computer skills with particular expertise in the use of Microsoft software and applications and MYOB
  • Excellent attitude and manners, relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate and communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, incl. listening.
  • Ability to be self-directed and motivated.
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail, presentation, layout and accuracy.
  • Will be trustworthy, understanding and respect the need for discretion and total confidentiality.

Mobile Radio Installer

Immediate start

We are seeking a Radio Equipment Installer, based Nelson to carry out installations into vehicles, machinery and customer premises of the following products:

  • Mobile Radio Telephones
  • GPS Navigation, and Vehicle Location
  • Cellular Telephone Coverage and Handsfree Solutions
  • Specialist vehicle mounted electronic equipment

You will also support our radio technicians from time to time on the implementation of site infrastructure and fault response.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and background in the automotive electronics industry with an interest in Radio Communications. The ability to work unsupervised as well as work in a team environment, and represent our company with confidence and professionalism are a must. We value technological competence and attention to detail.

This role would suit an experienced auto electrician or similar and additional job training will be provided.

You will have the capacity to work quickly and efficiently, with good organisational and planning skills.

You will enjoy the customer contact and getting out and about to clients sites.

Immediate start.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with the occasional flexibility to adjust hours to suit customer requirements.

Financial assistance with relocation costs within NZ are negotiable.

Radio Technician

We are looking for an additional person due to our expanding workload and to provide for a senior technician to reduce his hours. Initially the work will comprise programming and configuring mobile radios, bench service work, radio, network implementation, configuring radio network equipment. Site work is required for new installations, upgrades and repairs and maintenance. An understanding of TCP/IP networking as well as configuring DMR Tier III and Tier II networks and mobile radio.

Essential Skills:

  • A solid theoretical understanding of RF and Radio systems. and practical experience.
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking and addressing.

In addition:

  • Highest regard for the health and safety of everyone on site, and the public.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strong logic in fault finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Full driver’s license.
  • Enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Be healthy and physically fit.
